Papaw, the day we lost you was so, so hard. The looks on Mamaw, my daddy, and my aunts and uncle’s faces were nearly too much to bear. In the midst of our sadness, though, we had hope. We know that your hope and joy have finally been fulfilled. You are HOME... Home with your savior, creator, and abba father. Home to a place that you have longed for all of your life. Home to be with Jesus. My sweet papaw, I’m going to miss you so much. I’m going to miss your smiling face, your soft prayers, and your gentle, kind attitude. I’m going to miss you. It must be such a joy to see those you’ve loved who have gone on before, and to know that your children and grandchildren are coming not too far behind you. We will see you again “When we all get to heaven, what a day of rejoicing that will be! When we all see Jesus, we’ll sing and shout the victory!”
